    Color LJ 2600 Registration issue

Got one that has the color registration off. Calibrated and still has same problem. Talked to someone and they said sometimes it takes a few calibrations to get it right. They also said you can reset the DC Controller by opening front door>hold down engine test button> turn on>close door>release engine test button after 10 seconds. Another suggestion was to clean the sensors.

Looks like the black is ok, just the colors are off. Thought I would throw this out there and see what anyone thought of the suggestions I've been given, or if anyone had additional input that may be helpful. All cartridges are above 50% except yellow which is at 12%. Total count is 33572.

Whats the condition life of the transfer belt...?
are the density / calibration sensors clean.

If you open the printer while its showing and running calibartion do you see the toner image
on the belt ok and does it look aligned and correct.

sometimes the transfer belt and plastic holder can become twisted or off straight.
does it lock up tight and straight.

you could try running the secondary Service menu.

At ready press green button, then press left arrow and orange cancel at the same time.
    then press check button again.

run all / full calibration and check.

Re: Color LJ 2600 Registration issue

Thanks Elliotsmonstor. I went back this morning. Tried a few more calibrations. Then calibrated all in secondary. Made sure sensors were clean. Laser is clean. Even tried reset by opening door>power on while holding down engine test button for about 10 seconds> closed door, then calibrated. Still no go. There was another 2600 there with new cartridges in it. Took those cartridges and put them in the problem machine and the print were great. Put the original cartridges back in the problem machine and all is great. Go figure. Did learn a little more about the machine though. Thanks again.

Good to hear its kind of fixed...

Could simply be that one or more of the units was not 100% sitting correctly, locked in.
or as said the transfer belt and plastic holder was closed straight by you that time and is now printing ok.

anyway for now all is good.
