Color LaserJet 5550 jamming in Fuser

This printer intermittently jams in the fuser with a 13.0A error printing single-sided. Some HP documentation seems to think this jam occurs when you're printing duplex. It seems to jam more frequently when the fuser has warmed up and also with full-color full-page photos, but I've had it jam on the continuous self test. There always seems to be two sheets of paper in the fuser. The first sheet is at the exit and the last half of it is accordioned up. You can find the leading edge of the second sheet by lifting up the fuser flap. The paper seems like it is getting caught on one of the small plastic rollers. The problem is that I've replaced the fuser but it seems to be jamming in exactly the same way. Since most of the jams seemed to be when using Tray 2, I replaced that drawer (based on an HP bulletin), but it didn't seem to help. I've check the feed rollers too.

The customer is using genuine HP toner. I'm doing this repair as a third party, so I don't have a choice on the parts. The fuser they sent was a rebuild, but the tray was new. I requested to try a new fuser, but they told me they didn't have that option.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

They sent me another rebuilt fuser to try. I also blew out the Toner Inlet Assembly. I'd cleaned it previously with the handy tool inside the front door but the tool was already filthy. Printed a gazillion pages from all trays and no jams, but now I don't know if it was a defective fuser or dirty toner inlet. At least it's fixed.

I hope you're right. I had some other thoughts ... it may take 6 or 8 weeks to come back. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If it does come back, I'd be interested in hearing those thoughts, blackcat4866.

I kept getting called back on this particular machine. First, the fuser seemed to fix it. Second, I cleaned the one-way bearings in the fuser drive assembly. Third I replaced the fuser drive assembly, and it seemed fixed then too. The fourth time I disassembled the new HP OEM fuser, cleaned and re-lubricated the film with Uniflor. That was the last time it was serviced ~2 years ago.
