HP 4250, 13.01 and 13.02 jams when duplexing only.

The machine was dropped off after the customer's IT person made an attempt to fix it. When the duplex is turned on, the machine will pull the first sheet, not print on it, run it through the fuser, reverse and pull it into the duplex, and stop with the lead edge about 4 inches out of the duplex.

The customer replaced the duplex. I swapped the fuser. Does it from every tray.

    Anyone else had this issue?

Update, started tearing the front off and found tiny pieces of a past fuser film. pretty sure it should work now.

Good catch. Follow up when you're sure. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes that was it. The tiny piece of fuser film was stopping the paper, but not leaving a mark on the lead edge. Without that clue, I was assuming a clutch or motor was failing.

I had a Toshy call recently, in which bits of an old primary transfer belt kept popping up. I had checked the belt three times and it was whole ... yet it would feed out long triangles of belt material 7" long onto the copy or sitting over the belt sensors. I still don't know if I got it all ... and why the person who replaced the belt hadn't looked for the missing pieces.

    Good work. =^..6=
