    Fusing Issue HP 4015

    Hi ,

Having a issue rebuilding the fuser units for the HP 4015 , while with the other models exchanging the the fuser sleeve / Pressure rollers and thermistors bushes and etc works well . We are experiencing fusing problem with the 4015, as the toner does not fuse well.

We have almost 100 of these machines under service contract , We are using high quality parts (mostly OEM). Does any one can point me on the right direction? Does anyone have rebuild instructions for this unit?

    Many tks,

    Leonardo

Dont bother with re build. Just replace the whole thing. Make sure you use the original HP toner as compatible may have a different melting point.
I know its a lot more money but you will have a happy customer and in fairness the new fuser will outlast your rebuild. We used to have different contracts for customers who wanted original HP toner (a wee bit expensive ) compare to compatible one.

On other models (P3015) we do not ,,, It works great ..

On this model (4015) We tried first to just change the rollers , bushes and thermistors .. I did not work ... In one unit we change the heat element and it improved... We also tried to play with the pressure springs of the rollers .. no luck .

    Tks,

Ok, if you want to see where your problem persist, try the following. Take a fuser that you know is working well, remove the sleve and pressure roller and put it into the fuser that you rebulid and is not fusing properly. if this does not work, then pressure springs ect. continue untill you find he part that is making the difference.
On the video, i saw the guy remove he old thermal compound and put new paste, did you do this step.

Thanks !!! Nice !!! Herbie Hancock on the background and a "Cafezinho" on my hand ... Not much different form what we do , but their Heat Element look in better condition than the ones we've seen .

I'll try again .. and will put the back ground music ... it may help.

Yes, we use the OEM compound (grease) ...We did not have new pressure springs , but tried to add a thin washer under it to increase pressure ... did not work. I'll be ordering new parts , will try with different Fuser Sleeve (the OEM one) and new springs ..

220 V ... the problem is fusing ...the toner does not fuse well on the paper ...normally in one side of the page ... EG .. when printing the machine status pages ( with a solid black header ).. I can remove some of the toner by rubbing the finger on it ( mostly on Top Left Corner) .. the pasrt not fusing will apper down somewhere on the page.... When back at the office will scan a sample and post.
