ROCK HILL, South Carolina, September 9, 2014 –*3D Systems*(NYSE:DDD) announced today that it will showcase its clinical capabilities in planning and instrumenting for personalized surgical procedures and patient-specific medical devices at the*American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) 96th Annual Meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii from September 11 – 13, 2014. 3DS will display a full range of Medical Modeling solutions for personalized surgery, including VSP® (Virtual Surgical Planning) for orthognathic and reconstructive surgeries, along with ClearView® and OsteoView® anatomical models, used for pre-operative planning and intra-operative surgical guidance.
Located at Booth 1314, 3DS will demonstrate how VSP® technology is quickly becoming the standard of care for orthognathic and reconstructive maxillofacial surgeries. The company invites attendees to experience in-booth live demonstrations of its virtual surgical planning process, a service-based approach to personalized surgery that combines medical imaging, surgical simulation and 3D printing into a state-of-the-art digital thread. VSP® utilizes medical image data to accurately plan surgeries in a computer environment and then transfers that virtual plan to the patient using 3D-printed, patient-specific instruments.
