J-7217 FS-521 Stack will not lower

Morning everyone,

I have an FS-521 staple unit on our Bizhub 1200. I'm having an intermittent problem with the unit jamming. Some days it will run all day without a problems, but on Fridays it likes to jam every 500 sheets.

The output tray is not lowering causing a build up under the output rollers. You can hear it start to rub on the paper then it eventually jams, giving a jam code of J-7217.
If I catch it in time, I can manual block the sensors and the stack will lower.
I've also tapped paper over the sensors that raise the stack, so it will not force the paper into the rollers.

I'm stumped. Thanks in advance.

Konica Pro 1200 need RU-506 for FS-521, otherwise always jams with J-7217 when you print letter size single sided.
