With or without a fax, the scan/fax button should respond...Print out the network config sheet, the HDD should be listed as installed. The HDD must also be formatted correctly. These MFPs came with HDDs but some companies remove them for security concerns before reselling them. Emujo

Iīm not sure if a HDD is installed where should is be located ?
If itīs not Installed which HDD i need ?
To see if it is physically installed, remove the left rear plastic cover and the metal cover behind it. The HDD should be there.
To see if it is electronically installed, go into service mode-system 2-HDD-installed.
Once installed do a logical format.
Thank you for your help.
The HDD is installed Physical
But it was not activated in the OS ......
Itīs like copier addict says.
In the Service Mode System-2 Hdd
Now i have to finde out to set the Fax service right.
Thank you again.
So look at System2 > Option Board Set > HDD ... if it's set to Unset, just change it to Set. You may need to reload the video files. =^..^=
