On a machine this old, the best you can hope for either a universal driver from KM or a mismatched driver that has limited functionality. Most recently I had some success with an Oki C5200 and Windows 10. I started out with an HP Universal Driver. The printer would display " ... wrong data ...". Then I found a more recent Oki model and searched for drivers. I found a PCL5, PCL6, PS2 and GDI. Using the "New Driver ... " button on the Advanced tab of the print queue, I selected the .inf file of each, until I had success with the GDI driver.

You won't harm the printer by sending wrong data. The worst result might be 1000 pages of PostScript error commands. =^..^=
that makes me wonder.... does each brand have a driver... not the universal driver.... but a driver that is compatible with all models in that brand... just a thought... keeping in mind that some are black and white and some are color...
