    Re: BH-363, planets, PLANETS??

Remember the whale surfacing with the space shuttle launching in the background? Big ass Konica..6090 or something close to that. Ants were my favorite, I think it was a NVRAM mandatory change that removed those little critters. Emujo

on the old EP machines you had to replace the EEPROM, there was no NVRAM back then
later on, the animations were removed by firmware IIRC.

Did not find a solution for this so we took out the fax card and the machine will go to another customer not needing the fax option. Have to rebuild now one again for the previous customer. Sigh......

SOLUTION: To change the Configuration Page header to Konica Minolta bizhub, please perform the following:
    1. Access the Service Mode.
    2. Select System 2.
    3. Select Software Switch Setting.
    4. Enter Switch No. "10".
    5. Bin Assignment "00000000".
    6. Hex Assignment "02".
    7. Click on Fix.
    8. Click on End.
    9. Power the MFP OFF/ON.
    10. Print another Configuration Page. Page Header should now be changed to Konica Minolta.

    Worked. Thanks!

Well, this time same procedure with another machine but same firmware G00-D6 it didn't work strange enough. Stinking planets are still there.
    Any ideas please?

I'm not sure for this model but you can change BootUp screen to picture you like with Boot Screen Converter.

    Re: BH-363, planets, PLANETS??

Thanks tsbservice, I created a BootupScreen.bin that solved the problem for the moment but I'm still irritated that some time ago it worked through the softswitch settings as Synthohol suggested and now not.

Yeah I did read whole threat and understand your frustration, BUT don't let this get you down.
Instead ask customer's permission to use their logo picture, or whatever picture they thinking to like - KM saves threes, hugging bears, laughing babies, Al Bundy here we go again, etc. For some reasons all customers love that individualization and who will blame them. For newer machines I went ahead and set them also Wallpapers if they wish. Eventually you will have more happy customers = no more irritations
