Bizhub C353 Hard drive

Had a hard drive lock up machine. Can not print copy or enter service mode. Disconnect hard drive and you can copy and print but not scan or fax. Have taken 2 hard drives out of parts machines and it works for about a week and comes back. Can recreate with bad hard drives in shop. Anybody seem this happen?

how are you testing them in the shop? if you format them under most oprerating systems bad partitions are marked and avoided. most copiers use the drives in raw condition, bad sectors are not marked and when unit tries to utilize these sectors corruption occurs. Over simple explaination but basicly what happens.

Change the HDD cable aswell!
