"Install Image Unit" means the machine cannot detect the IU.

Take it out and clean the metallic contacts on the side frames.

Go back to where you put in fuse, if you left it loose it may not be making contact.

You will also want to make sure the fuse is of the proper rating. An over or under rated fuse will not clear the code properly. If it's an under rated fuse, you may need to replace the fuse again. Ohm out the fuse to make sure it hasn't blown already.

Make sure the IU is properly installed. You should push the IU all the way into the copy machine.

What is the message shown on the screen? (Install Image Unit or Replace Image Unit) ?

I want to you to check it again. It is a big different.

thanks for your help deep ,the message is install image unit , I pushed in it all the way. I can close the right door. The customer said me that the screen was displaying replace imagen unit, but the machine was copying. this week the copier was stopped and the message replace imagen unit was not blinking. He called a technician and he put the fuse and he didnt back.now I have this problem.

You should notice that there are two components connected on the connector, one is what we call it a "fuse" (1/16 Ohm) for reseting the "Replace Image Unit" Message. The other is a resistor (~38 Kilo Ohm). Check this resistor with a multi-tester. Make sure it is good (Not open circuit). Also check the "golden contacts" on the connector are all good.

If the error persists, try it with a known good image unit. If the "Install Image Unit" Message is still there, there may be something burnt by putting the fuse incorrectly.
