I prefer mass production version A02E0Y0-F000-G20-R6. Anyway this hourglass might be HDD, PCB... Try trouble reset procedure before any expensive repair.

If firmware does not work, try memory chip.
Turns out that the memory I used was defective. Now I am able to start the printer but it sticks on error C-D010. Hard drive unformatted. The touch screen locks up and I am not able to enter the service mode to format it?
Help?
Have you tried reflashing the firmware?

Try unhooking the hard drive and you should be able to get into service mode.
I bought this firmware: A02E0Y0-F000-GZ1-R6 I'm using a SanDisk 256 MB CF card, I wrote the firmware using The Konica Minolta Firmware Imaging Toolkit 2_53. I Tried disconnecting the hard drive and the printer never finished starting, stuck on Konica Minolta Logo. I appreciate any ideas / help
I tried the reset procedure and it stops at the KM logo as well.
Sounds like you've got an NVRAM problem.

Huge thanks, making progress... I was able to follow your instructions and reset the NVRAM, now it says: "serial number needs to be entered" "Contact service representative" - dont have a rep...
The instructions say to enter service mode either I am doing something wrong, or ?
I press Utility Counter key and it beeps, I press stop and it beeps, then i press 00 stop 01 and each time it beeps but the screen does not advance.
