What happens if you crossover to your laptop? =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

Does this mean that it communicated directly to the laptop, or did not? =^..^=

If it communicated with the laptop then the problem is on the network. Did you check for a dupe like Synthohol suggests? =^..^=

I do not understand how this answers the question.

Did you check for a duplicate IP address on the network? Unplug the MFP from the network > connect your laptop to the network cable > ping the IP address > does anything answer back? > if yes, something else is using the same IP address.

If this is the case you can use a utility like Network Scanner to identify the MAC address and consequently the maker of the network device. If you have a lot of network devices on the network it still can be difficult to find the offending device. It's generally easier to change the IP address to an open/unused address at the MFP and at the print driver.
