    Bizhub 951 paper type

    Hello

I am usually a Toshiba guy but we have a customer with a 951 that wants to run glossy 80 pound paper. It will run up to 10 sheets and then jams with a j1101 or j1201 code. I have checked my sources and do not believe the machine will run this paper. It has been suggested that the optional side tray may handle it but we don't want to waste money on it if it will not help.

Thank you in advance for any and all help

    Joe

#80 Bond?: Yes, maximum weight from the trays. The gloss will be the challenge. It will feed better if you have the PF-706
    #80 Offset?: Yes certainly.
    #80 Cover?: Yes certainly.
    #80 Tag?: Yes certainly.
    #80 Index?: Yes certainly.
    80 Point?: Never in life.
    80 grams/meter2?: Yes certainly.

So what measuring system are you using? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Hello

At this point I am not able to run this paper out of the box. The customer is giving me another roadblock. They want to be able to send this paper to a printer to print the sheets with a generic image and then run it through the 951 to put customized labels on the pages. Do you think this paper will work in this machine?

So it's #80 Offset. That is not exceptionally heavy paper. Most likely it's the gloss that is the problem.

How many clicks on your rollers?
Have you tried the orange feed and separation tires? They do a little better job of pickup.
Have you adjusted the lift height?
Have you adjusted the pickup roller drop solenoid?
Have you tried adding the pickup weights?

Don't bother wasting your time, coated stocks will always give you problems on the 951 and 950

Your customer needs the correct machine for the job 1051 / 1200, the 951 was a budget high volume printer designed more around mailrooms etc.

    See the attached image.
