    C552 with FS-526 shows C-1144

    Hello,

bizhub C552 with FS-526 and SD-508 shows after pressing the main switch the error-code C-1144.
After open and close the front door this code disapears and a new message appears in the display: "Warming up. Ready to scan. Replace staple cartridge."
When I disconnect the finisher from the machine, the machine shows quite normal: "Ready to copy"
I replaced the staple cartridge against a new one but unfortunately without success.
When I switch the machine off and on with the main switch, the code C-1144 appears again , after open and close the front door the message "Warming up. Ready to scan. Replace staple cartridge" appears again too.
I suspect a cable break between in the FNS drive harness /4 (A11PN10501) between FNS main board and stapler.
What else could cause two different messages?

    Re: C552 with FS-526 shows C-1144

not likley on the harness. never seen bad wiring on these. look at this
    Error
    C1144

    Root Cause
FS-526, C1144 during finisher operation or MFP may stay in warm-up condition.

    Workaround/Fix
    PROBABLE CAUSES:
    1. The coupler drive pin in the FS-526 drive unit is missing or damaged causing no drive to be transferred from the Stacker plate motor (M17).
Replace the pin (p/n V237 3010 50) and verify there are no binds in the drive system on the FS-526 to correct the issue.
Note: Please refer to attached Parts Manual pages as a reference. To view the PDF, you may need to download a free copy of Adobe Reader®.

    2. The Stacker plate home sensor (PS11) is not being actuated. This is due to the compression pin in the drive coupler on the stacker plate drive shaft breaking.
Replace the drive shaft (p/n A11P R734 11) to correct the issue.

    3. Damaged Stacker Plate Home sensor (PS11) or overrun stopper.
    Reform or replace the overrun stopper (p/n 4470 4024 71). Replace PS11 if necessary (p/n 9335 1300 61).

    Hello Woxner,

the coupler drive pin was broken. (look at the attached pictures)

I replaced pin, couple and shaft with modified parts and now everything works perfectly.
    Thousand thanks for your help!!!!!
