    C364e Stabalizer NG

    Hi guys.

Have this machine that gives IDC front and rear error and will not run gradation but seems to do color registration fine (no P-21).
I have replaced the transfer belt with a new one.
The TCR levels are all between 6 an 7% and the IDC readings appears as normal.
Did run the machine with the door open and the patches seems ok.

Any one knows what could be wrong?
    Whatever

Have you cleaned IDC sensors - silly question I know, but it is the most logical one? Wipe them with soft clothes dampen with alcohol and blow with air.
What's the state of drums life?

If the IDC sensors are clean i'd be looking at image unit & dv life.

If you are using non genuine toner then that would be my first suspect!

You cant tell if the patches are good with the naked, you can only check that they are present.

    Drum are new. But...
Developer is questionable. 3rd party stuff refill and reset.
Was waiting for some one to question the consumables.
The current employer makes me do these things against my better judgment.
The half tones and gradation looks fine but stabilization fails.
So i am waiting for the dev to be replenished with what ever less or more crappier toner is in there.

This company makes me question myself. Left a decent company for more pay but this is not good for my soul.
Dev tanks getting depleted drums and belts not making life funny deposit buildups and much more.
I protested in the beginning but to no avail. HTF do they still make any money?

Bottom line is i can get new tanks to prove it.
What the customer don't know wont hurt?
Convinced them that pinkish looking grey is normal...
    Whatever

I've had good results with drums on the earlier models but the few drums I've tried with the "4" series didn't work well. Also have never had good results with generic developers, even in the 3 series. It's bad enough using color aftermarket toners but add to that aftermarket developers and looking for nothing but trouble!

You knew the answer before you posted!

Cheap compatible toner causes so many issues, sinply not worth using.
Its fine for home desktop printer but not for office use!

Is the IDC shutter moving? I have had it get jammed and not open which will cause an IDC P code.

Sounds like your company is trying to save money. Been there-done that. If they only knew it is actually costing them a lot more money using aftermarket. When using crap toner, drums, drum cleaning blades & developers that sometimes don't even last 1/2 cycle or cause other consumables to go bad prematurely, etc, etc. Just plain stupid. There are some aftermarket things I use, drum reset chips on "virgin" color drum units, generic drums and toners on the B&W models, but that is about it. NO aftermarket on color products, NEVER use aftermarket developers! I work mostly on Kon/Min & HP.

These owners trying to skimp don't realize how hard it is for a tech to walk into a copy quality service call knowing they are using generic consumables. Makes it so much harder to troubleshoot which ends up causing the tech to be there longer, etc. NON-productive at it's best!

    Hi Allan
Can you sent me the gradation and 64 halftones - ideally pictures taken by smartphone along with list output (machine management+adjustment list)
