Re: Toner status not showing properly

Toner is changed before it reached 1%.
Put old bottle in, and use it until message is shown "toner low" that's the 1% (bottle is empty) there's some toner left in hooper. Replace with new one and will show 100%.
    That's the way it works.

Yes, switch 59. And highight 31 32 33 34 if you want to reset YMCK respectively.

But that won't stop user to replace toner before empty state again.
Simple explanation to user is enough: Replace toner when TONER LOW appear on the screen.

I just log in with remote panel and do it from office.
Half the time its a random staff member who thinks they are helping by changing it.
I normaly have customer puck a key operator to change toner and she is the only one allowed to. Stops this from happening

fwiw i have had 100% success by removing all the toner bottles and run halftone patterns one color at a time until the hopper is near empty and the replace toner now message comes up.
i put in the corresponding color and the gauge goes to 100%.
you may kill 100 pages on this but it does work without changing anything bit-switchy.

Curious how you use remote panel from your office on a machine with private IP address on a customer's network??? How do you make the remote connection? Is this through V-Care?

You can with vcare but way we use customer starts the connection via touch panel. They then quote tge PIN code it displays and we connect

Their are two types of remote panel. Server or client.

Server option is the one your thinking of. The copier itself hosts the server
Client is option you need to allow external connections and its way more responsive in my experiance
