    bizhub c384e color question

    ok... got to a client...
    color is too red...
after drama... cleaned the idc sensor...
    got rid of the redness...
    ran the stabilization settings...

but customer said it still did not print things right...

I am checking if there are any more detail settings and steps to calibrate the colors...
image looks ok to me... but customer said its off...
    no bluriness...
    just want to calibrate colors...

    spoke with mgr...
we are going to change the belt and the drums...

quick side question... whats the best step to clean the transfer belt... will rubbing alcohol work... or is there something else recommended... palm prints on the belt...

as always any help is appreciated...

Most likely it is their screen that needs calibrating! see this a lot customer not getting printed image the same as whats on their PC screen.

HOWEVER if you are not using genuine toner/parts you WILL get this issue too.

No need to clean the belt this won't help.

Try print head skew reset. Then Stabilisation. Gradation. After adjustment ends and you are in main service mode menu press start. (This should be done everytime you do calibrations anyway.)

Now try Image Background and Stabilisation reset and run fresh Stabilisation and Gradation.

Is it on all print jobs?? What if job is sent from another computer? Just start happening? What is the PM life of consumables? Have you ran the Gradation 3x??
You can adjust the HUE's and Brightness in the Driver, BUT only after answering other questions.

Will need a fiery then calibration then more complaints...
Fixed a call by adjusting a screen when the guy went out of his office for a bit.
Thanked me for fixing the printer!

    Do as per habik.

What app are they printing from? If Adobe PDF, try Advanced, Color Management, "Let Printer Determine colors"

Does your copier print an internal test chart. If so, print that to determine the copier's baseline for color quality.

    Re: bizhub c384e color question

For a hand print on tx belt I use a very clean new white rag. Maybe a spray of water on the rag worst case. Just keep rubbing with a dry rag, then run 40 or 50 copies. Seems any cleaner will leave permanent blotches on tx belt. I usex to try alcohol with limited success. Dry rag and many, many copies has worked the best for me.

    Re: bizhub c384e color question

    Windows or Mac environment?
file type (raster, vector) that your client "see wrong", RGB or CMYK, if CMYK what profile it was worked with (swop, ISO, fogra etc)?
i believe there's not much you can do from the copier side (guessing that you have done all the cleaning, graduating adjustments etc), other than installing a fiery
People will always ask for more without having the slightest clue about color reproduction...you can't get on details about profiling or how environment parameters such as humidity can affect their prints.
You can't have a basic MFP with the demand of being cheap and accurate...
In my field I have installed used Fieries on one c360 and one c280, after the clients demanded for more accurate and consistent color, I run monthly calibration with ES-1000, I get paid the visit and everyone is happy...

I may sound more like a psychotherapist, that a technician, but I have seen that whining countless times.
