This does not appear by default on the 8 range. There is a dip switch to enable it, but it requires an engineer to do the adjustment.
Soft switch 227
hex 00
We have found this also. We looked through the manual and found that if DIP SW 227 and 230, all the bits are 0. That will make that consumables button appear. Go to switch 227 and change all to 0 and then hit FIX and the same for Switch 230. Hope this helps.

Good to know! Thanks! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Every 8 series i goto that has this crap feature enabled I turn it off so the consumables page returns.
I also turn on near life display and consumables reminder for drums since they barely even last the standard life.
Thanks for this information. I would like to have the button "consumable life" because I like to look at the gas gauges during problem diagnosis. However I don't want a warning on the screen (but an oil can would be OK). From the manual it seems blanking 227 and 230 give you the button AND the warnings and life stops. Is this right?
