    KM C8000 - New 2. transfer unit making a mess..

    Just replaced the secondary transfer assembly with a genuine new KM unit..
    now the machine soils the back side of the sheet with no apparent pattern.. it can be ok for 20 sheets - the 10 bad sheets etc.

    When i plug in the old unit everything is OK (apart from the tear in the belt..)

    Those units have a cleaning blade, so it looks like you still have some locking material somewhere on the new unit which is preventing the cleaning blade from touching the belt.

    Yah did you release the 2 blue screws on the cleaning unit?
    To the middle position(released)?

    No, he didn't!

    @mc8305
    To the middle positon and tighten the screws! (Compare position with the old unit).
    Before replacing parts - read the manual. (not just instructions within the box)

    You guys are correct.. Did overlook the 2 blue screws at the back.
    Strange, no info on the box instruction and nothing in my service manual..

    The old unit must be a gen 1 it dosen't have this adjustment.

    Thanks guys!

    The only place you'll find it is in the install guide.
