Thumbs down BH 363 "bending" from tray 2,3,4

    BH363.pdf
    Hey All

Hoping for some help with a troublesome BH 363.

Attached is the example of the outputs from Tray 2,3 and 4.

Here is a list from my tech on what he did:

    1. Change clutch for the 2nd paper feed section (not paper pick unit)
    2. Changed clutch and bushings for the paper transport roller
    3. Switched out bypass tray assembly
    4. Switched out right side door

    We also notice that:

    1. If letter paper is printed with short edge first paper will not fold.
    2. Legal and 11x17 will not fold if printed from tray 2.3 and 4
    3. Only letter size printing long edge as leading edge will fold.

We have this thing under contract for another year, client has a loaner right now and the Boss is anxious to get the loaner back.

    Thanks!

Maybe stupud question ,but have you try to replace paper with some other brand?
Few times i have problems like this and always problem was bad quality of paper or paper with moisture.

Have you done a fuser rebuild recently and forgot to install the entrance guide? Not that I have ever done this before.

Have you replaced or flushed the registration clutch with CRC electronics cleaner? Slight different paper attitude from tray 1 vs. 2/3/4.
Also, maybe unrelated, but worth noting: If a 223/283/363 jams from tray 1 only but not from 2, 3 or 4 then someone may have swapped a tray 1 feed ass'y from a 423. It's the only one that has a feed sensor in tray 1 to adjust timing. The sensor is not there in the 3 slower speeds. It will feed SEF, but jam on LEF tray1 only.
