    Close section properly c364

    Hey guys,
working on a biz hub 364.
When you put paper in the adf, the machine has "close section properly" message. N it is indicating to close the whole adf section, not just the feeder section on the left. Both sections are closed, i can see nothing indicating a problem.
Any ideas out there? Do ya even remember this machine? Seems like a problem i dealt with a long time ago, but i can't remember what the solution was?
    Thanks

    p.s. SYSTEM 1and2 NOT "ADF setting "

Check the plunger by the right hinge of the DF. Possibly missing or spring came off it and not making the sensor.

the inner door to the CIS section may not be seeing it as closed. check the hooks and actuator

If its got an arrow saying the ADF is lifted it will be failed reed switch or missing its magnet at the front right adf base frame. (or the frame is twisted, broken or misaligned so badly that there is a huge gap)

After changing a million or so broken base frames from people pressing hard on books to copy, I've seen this issue a couple times when I forgot to transfer the magnet over.

I've had cleaners move copier by adf to plug in a vacuum and skew it so much the mage on front right of copier is off by enough it causes this. Last time was on a c203 but same logic applies

Change control board, power board, CCD, magnet detector, and cable, and ADF,
However, it is still not repaired. May I ask which side can handle it?

On a similar model, I've had Scan Area settings be off by enough that it kept recognizing the ADF as being open. Check those values in service mode.

Although, if I remember right, the c253 model had it to where the Scan Area values could go WAY high or WAY low, the 4 series restricted those values to no more than 5.7

EDIT: I've also had a window next to the machine with sunlight hitting the left side cause me similar issues.
