Re: Konica C6000: Gamma correction abnormality

Do you have the service manual?
In the book it tell you what programs (adjustments) to run after replacing parts.
Make sure the gamma sensor and registration sensors are clean.
There is a program called the gamma off set adjustment. I usually run this adjustment
after replacing the drums, developers and chargers. Keeping the machine clean inside
will help a lot. Make sure the laser windows are clean. If they are not the output will
    be light in appearance.
I will post the order of the adjustments later.

    i have the service manual.
    "
    4. LIST OF ADJUSTMENT ITEMS
4.1 Priority for Adjustment/Setting after replacing parts
Conduct the following adjustment on the items list in this order when replacing the parts on the list. Proper operation/image quality is not
guaranteed without conducting those adjustment after the parts replacement.
    Note
    • When replacing the overall control board (OACB) due to the OACB being damaged, be sure to use the NVRAM board (NRB) that
was installed on the damaged OACB on the new OACB. Contact the service manager of the authorized distributor if it is
considered that NRB is also damaged.
    • The NVRAM board (NRB) stores various adjustment data, setting data and counter data. Therefore, when replacing the NRB,
perform all adjustments and settings, and be sure to replace the parts for control correction (Drum, developer, cleaning blade).
For details, contact the service manager of the authorized distributor.
    • When replacing a board due to PB control board (PBCB), SD control board (SDCB), FD control board (FDCB), RU control board
(RUCB) or FNS control board (FNSCB) being damaged, be sure to use the non-volatile memory (EEPROM) that was installed on
the damaged control board on the new control board. Install the new EEPROM and perform all adjustments for the PB, SD, FD, RU
or FS if it is considered that the EEPROM is also damaged.

    )

depending on the firmware there is a selection for running all drum peculiarity adjustments that goes from one screen to the next.
    best to use that.

bad part is if you didnt run the toner density adjustment immediately after completely vacuuming out the units and refilling them all your adjustments will be for nothing.
these machines are really finicky if you don't follow the manual to the letter. any skipped or step out of order and its a waste of time and developer.

    good luck!!

Re: Konica C6000: Gamma correction abnormality

Thank you for posting that Synthohol, my computer went down and I was unable to access my manuals.
Synthohol is giving you the best advice. I'm curious, why did you replace the OCB and the write units?
Generally I would do the PM and the adjustments before I would start replacing boards and write units.
Even then I would post a question before replacing those parts.
