    8 series drum life

Can they be extended, yes or no?

I already know the answer from my own experience, having to keep them in the car and change them for customers for "lines on print" on a regular basis.

However being told "its not happening anywhere else" is the usual reply.

So, "is it happening anywhere else?"

They seem to be making the manufacturers quoted yield ... just barely. Not twice to three times the stated yield like the e series. The major difference is the change from charge wires to charge rollers. It must be the physical contact that makes the difference. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    This is also my experience.

Hopefully some more people can add their experiences too.

Least the yield is correct. We are so use to drums exceeding life we almost expect it now so when it only manages maybe 110% we fill ripped off.

We average about 1000 over advertised yield. Better than not making it to yield I guess.
Changing from a charge corona to a charge roller is the direct cause of this, and the only reason KonMin made the change as far as I can see. They give some phony ozone reduction reason, but getting $200 every 100k instead of every 200k is the real reason.

Primary charge voltage will be significantly lower for a charge roller than a corona wire. I would expect black copies (assuming you could make it fit). =^..^=
