Bizhub 4 non e series Control panel

    Hello all,

I have a Bizhub C224 non e that throw a code C-D411 and I found where the problem is. It is the ribbon cable that connect the control panel PCB to the keypad and sub power part. Please see the attach pictures. I know I have to replace the Control Panel but it is quite expensive for the worth of the machine. Just wonder any of you run into this before. Were you able to locate and replace the ribbon cable? And would a 4e panel work with the firmware that update the 4 to 4e? Thank you all!

Hello and thanks for replying. Would you able to share how you get it to work? I was in contact with Hytec Dealer Services to inquire about the repair of the panel. I talked to one of the tech and he told me 4e panel may work on 4 and he would try to see if it works. He did try and told me it did not work for him. However, he did not know there is a firmware to convert the 4 to 4e. Did you have to update firmware first to get it to work? I do not have anything to try at the moment. Thank you!

There is firmware to convert a non 'e 'to an 'e' however it only gives some of the 'e' functions, it doesn't actually "convert" the machine as such.

Did you test continuity on cable?

No because I wouldn’t be able to position it correctly where the possible fractures are in the tracks.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, I could not find the ribbon cable. Anyway, I don't know if it would help but I can confirm you can use the 4e control panel for the 4 series with updated firmware to emulate the 4 to 4e. You also need new cable to connect to the Main board (because of the length). The firmware would have to be done to use the on display number keys instead off the keypad.
