    Bizhub 25 cannot edit or delete certain email entries

    I have this one customer that has a very old konica, and we cannot delete or edit 2 specific email entries in the address book. When we check the job history, and the emails are shown as successfully sent, but when their IT run a message trace, they see no sign of the email. We added the email addresses to other machines, and those machines are able to successfully email out to that address. I got a tech to do a firmware upgrade, and still nothing. When I try to edit a preexisting entry, it says the address is in use in the favorites. They do have other email accounts on that machine that can email out. Anyone else see anything similar? Or is the konica too old to even fiddle with?

    I've had addressbook entries that by all appearances look correct, but are not functional, usually after remaining unchanged for years. I would suggest deleting those addressbook entries and re-entering them. They'll get stored in a different random location on the HDD and work fine. My theory is that the addressbook data becomes corrupt (even though everything looks correct).

    You may have to format the drive to clear those entries. You may find that your HDD is toast, when it won't reformat.

    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

    Sorry, I should have added that we tried deleting those entries multiple times. I will talk to my techs about wiping the hdd though, after I talk with the customer again. They are going to see if its on their end before kicking it back over to me. Thanks for the response, however! I hadn't thought about wiping the hdd.
