Check the HDD, is it uninstalled?
If its scan to email it could be that SMTP is not set to on.
Does it show the scan registrations in PSWC?

There is an obscure setting called scan to authorized folders. If this is on, the only thing that is displayed in the scan screen is Fax numbers. This setting works with AD and SMB scanning to only allow scan to mail and home if these are attributes in AD. If you have any form of authentication set to on, you may also want to check what permissions are set for the logged in and public users. Emujo
Agreeded. Physically installed and turned on in service mode are 2 separate things
Ive lost scan features after doing initialize all as it had HDD set to npt installed even thought its physically installed.
Not insulting your intel OP but if we gloss over this we may be chasing our tail if this ends up being the fault
