just had this same problem on a 958. The loop sensor now sits at the top of the registration unit. the spring on the actuator can come out of place and not enough pressure will be applied to the actuator.

Was there a solution for this as I currently have a C958 presenting the same intermittent jam issue.

Loop actuator has been checked and is working fine.

That should be jam on entrance of duplex section.
Duplex drive belt slips because there is no limiter on side of the gear.
I used to put a rubber cover which are used to cover holes for scanner transport screws (4&8 series).
Drill a small hole in it (it should be tight) and mount it on a shaft to make a limiter. Belt will never slip again.
I will post a picture if I still have it.

I had the same problem on 2 machines and by removing key item 31 A795897500 Neutralizing Brush from parts manual. the issue got resolved.Jam 3205.jpg

it will function but its getting shorter. also check the one way roller driven conveyance roller on the right side . if the upper drawers run without jamming I would be looking for roller od shrinkage up the right side of the unit.
