Hello, I am having an issue with a C1085. I keep getting a C4661 malfunction. I am leaning towards it being the Color Registration assembly that has PS20-PS22 on it, but its a $500 part and would hate to tell the customer to order it and be from. I've replaced the transfer belt, and all the transfer rollers. I've swapped drums and have done a developer change for yellow as well as the rest of the dv units. For now, I turned of the auto color calibration but as you can imaging the colors are not aligned.

Any help will be appreciated.

You might check to see that the solenoid can open up the shutter completely. I struggled with a C1060, replacing each sensor one at a time. Eventually I noticed that the shutter only opened ~1/2 way when the solenoid actuated. =^..^=

cant you cheat them always open and see if the code goes away? i know they will get dusty over time but we used to do that in a quick pinch...

what the meter at?

I actually removed the shutter thinking that might be the problem. It that didnt work.
