First get at least Service Manual, read it, then ask Questions.
Means that original password was changed and with OR without Manual you has to ask those who sell you machine for it.
There is a chance if you donate here somebody send you Firmware.

the drum unit automatically rests the counter and you can do the gradations through admin mode.

Counters have to be reset manually on the BH283. Also so have to run TCR adjustment in service mode. Without service password these steps can't be done.

Aw man, sorry about the bad info, I've worked on so many 4 5 7 8 and 9 series I totally forgot the legacy machines.
Also I hope the developer was changes too or you will likely get 255x codes. Both drum and dv are replaced as a set.

Re: Password after replace Drum on Bizhub 283

You have to 1) get the CE password or 2) reset the CE password:

    1) contact the genius who changed it.
    2) place a hotline call, and provide the 20 digit reset code. KM then provides you with a 20 digit code to enter, to reset the CE password to it's default.

Those are your only two choices. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The one who change the password is technician of Master Dealer here, they do not want their customer have other supplier.
How much does it cost for Password crack? If I donate 10$, is it OK?
