Konica c35 says calibrating won't copy

I have a Konica c35 that says calibrating all that time and won't allow you to copy. I have clean the lamp and it looks fairly bright to me. I did reset the transfer belt unit approximately two weeks ago without replacing it. I'm not sure whether I should get a new lamp or a new transfer belt for this machine to take care of the problem any ideas

does it display any errors?
more than likely it is the sensors in/around the iTB unit causing the problem...
get the manual ..it should be covered in there

If the ITU is past due change it also clean the sensors. If there are any near empty toners replace them.
Check if the machine keeps the time after a restart.

Hate these machines had a couple do the same thing.

Start with the transfer belt. Clean the sensors.

I've had that many times when toners are low / empty.
