C6501 Eating DRUMS... at 40-60% life

Always USE OEM everything - DRUMs are DU-104....

Black drum keeps failing early with memory type failure. 3 in a row.
Can put the K drum into another color and sometimes get some more life (or hide the issue for a bit) but once they fail they fail.
Never had them go in just one color like this... HV may be suspect.

Today, Did a PM which was due and replaced black HV unit... machine has 2.6m anything you guys see that makes you think something is off elsewhere?
We now replace coronas at 50-60% life as we print 12x18 mostly (print shop).

Here is the adjustment list. Let me know if you need any more info

Take a look at Grid K values. I don't know if it's important, but the other grid values are ~100 points over default. Grid K is more than 200 points over default.

And developer bias CMY are ~ 80 points over default. K is 180 points over default.

LD Bias K2 is also considerably higher than default. Actually laser diode intensity makes the most sense for drum memory. How are these values set? Sim or numerical values? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Not sure what you mean, they are all AUTO set during auto gamma...

Could the black laser be dusty? =^..^=

any dust usually causes voids in the laser path... will clean it to be 100%....

Found a FIRMWARE that is just for this XXX-70, forget the letters. Brought the grid back down to earth. Also says that DU104s should not be used but in a pinch. Lets see if i get better life over the next PM and well decide then...
