All major parts were serviced in Jan 2019, full service,
I've been advised to have the machine fully serviced ones a year
    All parts are original

Regarding moisture, honestly the room itself seems fine. Even outside the room, I don't feel as if we have an issue with moisture

Not to worry my friend, I am aware.

Reason for the post is to see if it can be something simple. The machine has a count of 1.3 million, was serviced throughout its life by the original engineers who I've purchased the machine off. They still service it for me. Obviously I'm trying to resolve a problem, they haven't managed to resolve.

Id kick myself silly if it was a simply thing which was being overlooked

Please have a look at the following. I'm still having issues displaying high resolution images in this forum, if you cant see the issue with the below images, please have a look at this link:
    Image quality issue Minolta C5501 - Big Print Birmingham :- Tel: 0121 673 2741
You should be able to notice spotting in the whole print. This happens when printing pastel colours, it happens on all types of paper. 150gsm silk/ gloss uncoated all the way up to 350gsm stock.

    Id really appreciate your advice

I cant seem to upload images of the prints. I've saved the files in various ways. But keeps getting rejected by the upload module in this wysiwyg

Go into the service mode and print test pattern 53 (if i remember correctly) and change the cyk to 0 and the m to 80
and see if the spots appear, and then do the same for the other colours this should then show if its 1 particular colour causing the problem. load up your results.

And to be honest £1400 doesn't cover all the parts on this machine that could be causing the problem.
Could you also load the parts counter list which is on the Utility screen.

Thank you for your response. I'll do the test patterns as soon as I get back to the office

As for the cost, that's what they deem to be a full service,

have seen this before, are you using oem toner? what is the actual count on your developer units. this can be caused by damage to the developer sleeve. (usually caused by somebody with a vacuum). i would do the charts to determine what units are causing the problem. have seen aftermarket toner grind the coating from the developer sleeve.

Thank you for your response. I've always used oem toner. To be honest I did look in to buying after market toner, But couldn't justify the cost. Its cheaper to buy genuine.

I should mention one of the reasons I moved away from xerox was that I could just call an engineer. Looks like I'm back to square one. Finding a solution to my problem.

Problem with the count on the developer is for some reason the engineer didn't reset it. I asked him why, he mentioned that they keep a full log of what's done on all jobs/machines on internal system.

    I see a repetitive defect. What's the interval? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Hi Gaffers

I don't blame you if you want to virtually slap me silly.

I have printed test patterns in the past, however I cant seem to do it now, my mind is completely blank. I manage to get in to service mode by soft booting holding down utilities/ test pattern Mode. I even enter all the information

    Pattern 53
    Y /0
    M /80
    C /0
    K /0

What do I do next to actually get the machine to print the pattern, pressing start doesn't work. WhatsApp Image 2019-03-19 at 17.45.15.jpg
    what do I do next
