C454 toner?

I have a remote customer that I sent hey Konica 512 K cartridge to. They have the c454. They’re telling me it does not fit . They say the old one says 513 on it . Is it true that only a 513 cartridge will fit a C454 ?

If it is a C454e than a TN-513 will fit, if it is just a straight C454 than TN-512K is the one you need.

TN512K will fit the C454(e) colour machine only, TN513 will fit the 454(e) mono machine only

Yep TN513 is for the B&W model. You sure they don't have a B&W "454e"?

The TN512/13 have chips so not interchangeable. The same exact toner TN321 don't have chips but probably have a tab that won't allow it to fit in faster 454/554 models.

Had a call on a mono 4 series where the bottle would not install, sent it back. Was likely the wrong black cap was installed at factory.

So they said cartridge says 512k/513 on it, yet won’t fit. Odd

is the actual toner the same and just a different cap that we can swap until other toner arrives for them?

Then if it has on box 512/513 then definitely an aftermarket toner and anything possible, wrong toner, defect in btl, etc.

Really foolish to be using aftermarket in these models. It will eventually bite you in the ass. Feel fortunate it was something like this that happen. If you end up getting a bad batch of toner and it crashes your developer the units cost $500 x 3 for colors and 1 x $150 for the Black!

A C454 takes 512, a C454e takes 513.

no it doesn't 513 is for the mono 454(e) 512 fits C454(e)
