bizhub C458 from Tray 2 Jam-code 12-01 (feed roller didn´t rotate)

Hello,

a bizhub C458 basically shows jam-Code 12-01 only from tray 2. Tray 1 is working fine.
If I remove tray 1 and watch the two feed rollers of tray 2, I notice that these didn´t rotate, a tiny movement, maybe 1 mm can be observed.
I renewed paper feed roller (PN A64J564101 and A64J564201) and the two clutches A02E561100), CL 1 (PN A64JM2000), unfortunatelly without success.
The error seems to come from the Main Drive/Paper Feed Drive Section (on the rear side of the machine)

Well, looks like you’ve fixed your own problem....Replace the drive unit!

We have had quite a few fail on that model.

Hi, I've had this problem in a 458 recently.


Do you know the black rolls of Paper Feed Assy (bizhub 458 is A9HGR70800)? There! In my case, they were the problem. I simply took isopropyl alcohol and I cleaned them.


Sometimes they seem to have no problems, but if you magically rub back to work.

those finned roller are as useless as roadkill lizard, pop a regular red roller on it and you have no more skimming jams.
that IMHO was konicas biggest error.
they are ok for glossy paper but any paper that has a high dust content or recycled paper they start to jam at 20-30k
honestly, i take the rubber off a00j563600 rollers and put them on the locking axles. so much better.

Replace one way gear and clear black coating on the shaft in case of Jams from Tray 1,2 and bypass.

yes, the one-way gear was the problem! It was seized on the shaft. I renewed the gear and the shaft and now everything works fine.
