Hello!
We have a C227 here who prints black pages, sometimes it just douples the image, sometimes the whole page is black like a halftone 100 testpage, full color is visible under.
Drum, developer, HV, MFP board, transfer unit replaced. Contact spring drum ok.
Do we miss something simple here?

Is this printing, or copying?
If it's just on copies...what is being copied? Sometimes there are anti-counterfeit marks or security features on pages that won't allow you to make a copy.
Sounds like an erase lamp of K drum or Laser.

It's print and copy, eraser lamp works, red light visible.
Main power supply and laser would be next, but i still feel there's something I am missing.
It was the Main Power Supply...
So, is this a C227 like in the OP or a C224 like in the title?
Started in the copier service business in the fall of 1988 and worked at the same company for 33.5 years, becoming the senior tech in 2004 but left to pursue another career on 4/29/22.
