    C285 chipping

    We have tried to colour chip a black drum for a c258 and no colour is trans ferred are we missing something.we did remove the block on the drum so it fitted.Thanks

    Counters? State of consumables? Do you use OEM consumables? Do you have a picture of the problem?

    They are OEM black drums with colour chip, the counter zeroed but not change the installation date,the colour does not register on test.The drum we replaced was a black drum with colour chip and that worked.We tried another drum in case the first was faulty,but that did the same.

    you will have to change the end block on the drum unit at the front as it keeps the drum and dev unit apart , takes 5 mins

    is that the lump of plastic on the right hand side that stops the drum going in a colour slot?
