What is the Spacer near the DF roller used for?

Hi, in every DF, when I disassemble the Roller Assy, I find a kind of white roll.

In the part list it is indicated as "space". I have never been able to understand utility.

Has anyone understood what it is for?

It's for changing tension of separation roller. You can put it under the spring. Read DF manual.

    Or seek in SM for:
Adjusting the pressure of the separation roller
