C1085 Ripping Transfer Belt
Just wondering if anyone has run across the transfer belt being ripped. We replace the belt, transfer rollers and the cleaning blade. We are good for a week or two weeks and then it rips!! We have ordered a brand new transfer unit and will be doing that today. At $1400 that is quite the expense. Just wondering if anyone has seen this?
Thanks

Re: C1085 Ripping Transfer Belt
I would first check/clean/replace intermediate transfer steering edge sensor (PS68) and the intermediate transfer steering sensor
(PS86).
But if you replace whole transfer belt unit it should be good.

Re: C1085 Ripping Transfer Belt
C1100, c2235 code or it just destroys the belt before it even throws the code. 3.5 mil on machine
New ITB assembly
New 2nd transfer unit
New drums
New PRCB
New ITB drive assembly
New process unit wiring harness
New plastic cups that’s hold the ITB in the process unit
New rails on the process unit
weve triple checked the machine for leveling. Checked everything in I/O mode. If you bring up the 2nd transfer unit without the fuser you can feel the pressure is even.
can get 500-1000 pages but eventually eats another belt or throws the code if I’m lucky. I’ve had the regional guy out here with me the last few visits. Nothing helps, machine has been down for weeks now.
