Greetings,
I am searching for most reliable and cost efficient (in terms of service) machine for small number of copies (~3000). Are those 2 models worth their price or should I go for Xerox B1025 for half the price.

I wouldn't favor getting the 226 (Bizhub 215 series here in the USA).
Konica 4052's (Lexmark) are ok units for the money. Check the toner prices on that Xerox B1025 and Konica 4052 in your region. Sometimes machines cost less but they more than make up for the low price by charging a lot more for the toner/supplies. So, as a rule, generally it's good pay a bit more for the machine if you can -----choose the machine that costs less to operate.

Bizhub 226 in my opinios is more reliable, much cheaper regarding per page cost and also service and parts.
Cost of toner for bh 4050 are 5x higher (or more)
At last 226 is A3 machine, 4050 is A4.
P.S. Soon bizhub 226i will arrive, with new larger LCD display. Maybe worth waiting for. Who knows?
A better display certainly might change my recommendation.
You are correct about the 226 (BH 215) cheaper cost per page. I took care to address that when I stated above:
"So, as a rule, generally it's good pay a bit more for the machine if you can -----choose the machine that costs less to operate."
That being said, I would not call the 226 very reliable. The model for us has needed more repairs than many other models. And they have not held their value. There are tons of super low mileage units at the wholesalers and they are not selling very well.
This person is probably just looking for a cheap low volume copier/printer/scanner. The speed and capability and good display of the BH 4052 series would keep them happier.

My favorite is 226 and i think its ok machine ,never had too much problems with them.
DR,DV change on every 80k and complete iu assy on 160-200k.
Recently i retired one 215 with about 700k on counter.
It is still working but location is far from me and give them new 227 instead.
Monthly volume was 20-30k without problems for a few years.
Well, we are looking for low volume machine, certainly below 2000$, which will last for years, cheap in service. As those Konica models are having mixed reviews, I'm considering also Kyocera ECOSYS models: M2040dn, M3145idn, M3655idn, can you recommend any of those?
I work only with KM so cant recommend any other brand, sorry.
However, the 4052 series still have white lines print out easily, same as previous 4050......

I don't think so.
Looking here Specifications - bizhub C266/C226 | KONICA MINOLTA, I see it like C227, but there should be some differences
