IM-6020 (BizHub 600) Miss feeds from trays 1, 2, 4, & by-pass

This is my first experience with this model. I'm told it has a great
paper feed ability. With only 87K on the hard meter,
this unit has been giving me problems since the first day I put it under
a service agreement. That was Sept 22 '08.
The symptoms: Miss feeds from tray 1 give the message to " Reload the
paper in tray 1" The paper is not getting to the first sensor on the right
99% of the time. It stops in the nip of the feed and sep rollers.
This is also the message that is displayed for trays 2, 4 & bypass.
Same symptoms.
I have many hours checking things and cleaning and lubing.
I have replaced the rubber in tray 1. Cleaned and oiled the oneways
in tray one and two. This unit was in a very low volume office this
last summer and has also been moved twice.
I have looked for signs of arcing on the chargers and HV cables. None
found.
I have checked to make sure that the tentioners on the paper feed
drive assy were still in play and they are. Turn the drive by hand it
feels smooth and tight. The only tray according to the machine
service history that has not logged a code is tray 3.
Here are the codes for paper miss feeds that I am getting:
tray 1 1101 89 times, 1102 13 times, 1105 once.
tray 2 1201 81 times, 1205 twice.
by pass 1001 8 times.
I also got these codes: 1401 33 times, 1702 twice, 1707 once, 1709 &
1710 twice each. This unit is not showing any codes on the operator
control panel.
I did try and correct what appeared to be a pin pushed forward in the
photo connector. I dug that out and pushed it in. It started coming
out of the back. Re assembled and push pin in and put cartridge
back. The copy quality on this unit is good. And the machine is clean
inside.
Thats the riddle.

If anyone can shed some light on this please do.
I will get the firmware version and post it later.

thanks
DR

Problem solved.
It was the paper.
The customer was using staples brand multipurpose 20lb 96 brightness.
I asked the customer to try some fresh paper. They went back to staples
and bought 1 ream of the same stuff that was miss feeding.
Earlier this week I ran about 150 14" pages from tray 3 without miss feeds
or anything going wrong.
Today I walked in with 1 ream of econosource 20lb multi-purpose 92
brightness. I ran the same 300 sheets 6 times. The last time was duplexed. Not one miss feed, double feed, jam, or wrinkle.
The 14" from staples was also 92 brightness.
Does anyone know what is different between the two?

Thank you to the 17 who read my post
