C350 & IC-401

I've got a KM BizhubC350 with an IC-401 attached to it. I'm trying to reload the system software on the controller over the parallel port. The boot file seems to go on fine and when I wait for the controller details to come up on the LCD but it never does. The instructions say I'm supposed to wait for the LCD to prompt me to load the system files but the copier never recognizes the controller. Cables are all plugged in and everything. Any ideas?

if the device is switched to the correct controller type in service then it is usually a duff hdd.

WaveyDavery, or anyone... Do you know which setting to use for the IC-401 on a C350?

set to controller 2 mode 1 (mode 2 and 3 restrict scanning functions)
