Thanks TSB. That is not working either.
Somewhere in the machine once has been entered "CAN-C-284e" resulting in that the machine sends scans to e-mail addresses with a subject line: Message from CAN-C-284e"
Most likely I added myself this CAN-C-284e because it was with the older generations, always my standard: "CAN-C-360" for instance. Resulting in the subject line for those old machines in: SCAN-C-360 (an S was always added in the beginning by the system for some reason).
In the old machines, the place to enter the subject was found here:
Utility/Counter -
Administrator Settings -
Register Administrator -
Input Machine Address.
Change the Device
Name. This will appear in
the scan filename instead
of SKMBT.
The later generations do not have this possibility, but somehow I still managed to change this BH-C-284e machine, resulting in the now unwanted subject field.
Forgot completely how I once did this.
Is Alzheimer becoming my buddy.............?

Synth, the procedure you describe I cannot find in the manual nor with Pagescope. In the Pagescope machine interface there is an empty list allowing 10 subject entries, but there is no button to set one of them as default.
Are we talking about the same? Where to find your 8.25.3 E-Mail Settings as you describe? User Manual? Pagescope?

In scan, at the bottom, go to 'File name/Subject name/Other' and enter your email subject text.
then save that as the default in 'Utility - Scan settings - Basic settings - Default scan setting' and change to 'Current Setting'
that should add your subject text to every outgoing email.
