Trying to see if i can lube or replace the print head. Open the side like the manual states but can't seem to take it apart. What am i missing?

You need to get the inner finisher off and out of the way, then the horizontal metal cover plate under the finisher (not shown in your picture). The PH is under all that, held in by 3 spring loaded screws and 2 ribbon cables.

If you have a service manual there are instructions on how to replace the print head. The print head is a sealed unit not designed to be taken apart. I was taught a long time ago the the polygon mirror rides on "air" bearings no way to lube. if you have an old machine around you could take the print head out of it.
KMFLT3CH is correct I was thinking of DC power supply behind side plate.

Just a note here if you decide to scavenge a print head from another machine:
There are 2 different print heads depending on the model of the machine, so make sure you scavenge from the correct model.

how in the world do i take off the finisher. it slides out to a certain extend the gets stuck.
Are you a technician or end user? It is very easy to remove and a tech would know this. Anyway I have attached FS-529 installation instructions, just reverse steps to remove.
