    Minolta Di-3510, connectivity

    Minolta Di-3510, connectivity.

Can take over a large account with around 30 Minolta Di-2510/3510 all equipped with controller and Scanoption. I have no problems managing the few mechanical issues of these machines and in the long run I would replace the above mentioned account with Biszhub's ofcourse but for the coming 24 month's I'll have to keep them running. However since I have already many other accounts with Minolta Di-351 + Pi-3502 and Di-450 + Pi-5501 with rather disappointing connectivity reliability I'm afraid that also this newer generation is suffering from slow printing, weird printing, crappy nic's etc.

Question: Besides from mechanical issues (which I think are managable) are there any issues regarding the connectivity features of the Di-2510/3510 series to expect?

the Pi3505e is much improved over its predecessors. I've only had one nic go out and thats because it got struck by lightning. Very reliable printing and scanning.

As stated above this model works great as both a scanner and printer........ Now go get those contracts signed!

To help with printing, Hit Utility key, Press User setting. Select tab 6. On that screen you can select DEVICE priority. This will let them start printing immediately. Keeps them humming along. Much better printer than the previous ones mentioned.

Just be aware that the out of the box printing port is 10000 rather than the standard 9100. Also if you choose to use LPR the queue name Must be PORT1.

Not so on the Pi3505e. This model is fully capable of port 9100 printing, I wouldn't recommend LPR at all.

Yes it can support it but you need to change the port number in the Web based interface (unless it was already done). Also just be aware that the NIC card can be hard to get should it ever need to be replaced.
