    konica 4045 disable finisher

    Hello

I need to disable a faulty finisher and lower paper drawers (drawers 3 & 4)
on an old Konica 4045. Hopefully there is a senior tech out there who remembers these machines

    Thanks,

    Clif

I've been skimming here through the sparse documentation I have on that machine and similar, but haven't been able to find anything. I don't remember being able to isolate areas of the copier on those machines (I only remember using it from the 7060 upwards). I've even searched through the 7050 manual (the latest machine that I know used the same style of technical adjustments) and there wasn't any mention of a software latch.

The best bet is just to disconnect the finisher and the the DB from the machine.

Bloody hell your taking me back.
Try 25 mode addressess 3, & 59 to 0 (this is from memory don't know if I still have a manual).
As for the DB open both back covers and you should see the cable running uo from the DB to the machine, dissconnect all plugs and it should be sweet.
    Cheers.
The force will be with you always.

    Thanks guys

it was 25 mode 3 set to 1 (tried this and it worked. don't know if it correct).
    25 mode 3 set to 0 is for a 10 bin sorter.
    25 mode 3 set to 0 is for a 20 bin sorter.

Just had to unplug the lower paper drawer unit.

    Regards,

    Clif
