Toner Recovery Box not recognising on C500

Hi all,

I recently plumped for a C500, however, I seem to be having an issue and have not yet managed to get the machine up and running - it came without a waste box but upon putting a new one in I still receive this message on the touch panel: "set toner recovery and close door". I've checked that the box is well seated and that the contacts for the door are connecting (which they seem to be) but the message persists.

I've also yet to get the Fiery RIP functioning which may or may not be related to the problem above - the RIP's LCD screen shows "operator call error 50C-KM" and the monitor is blank.

Would appreciate any thoughts/advice!

Assuming that you've checked that the door sensor isn't dirty, I'd check the reading in 47 mode. The code for the door switch is 01-8.

The message on the Fiery is probably a result of the machine error.

Thanks, I'd checked and cleaned the sensors but still no go.

Any chance you could provide instructions on 47 mode as I'm new to the machine?
