    error code c0500, checked lamp and thermo fuses, checked thermistor ok. reset machine but code comes back

    That code has always been something in the fuser for me, or the door not being closed properly. On the right side door, the arm on the front that the door swings down on, is connected to an interrupt switch behind the front cover. If that was not working correct, it could cause the code. I would swap out the fuser with a working one before looking at anything else. Could be a pinched wire. Have you tried a different power source?

    Have you actually gone into to initial mode and done a trouble reset? I believe all fuser codes have to be reset manually by order of the copier gods...... do a warm restart when the dot appears on the screen hit the 3 button and select trouble reset. the 500 code is an under temp so if lamp and fuse have continuity it most likely is the thermistor.
