Di2510/3010 Scanning...what is needed?

OK..I need to know if a 3010F with a NIC will at least scan to file without the SU-2 or SU-3 scan options installed? I was told they would but now I am not so sure.
If the SU-2 is at least required then does anyone have one of these available for sale?
Thanks in advance.

im away from office now, cant look up items.

You need the NIC card, and a scan chip, print chip if you want to print. You can put in the card without a print card i guess

If its has the NIC NC-4 and controller chip PI-3505e you need the SU-2 scanunit chip as well to scan.

As far as I unterstood is the controller standard integrated on the MFB board and also the scan function, but........... They will work only if unlocked by the special chips which are an option. They are inserted in the respective slots of the MFB board. The chip allowing the controller to work is the Pi-3505e "controller" # 4513-712 and the chip allowing the scan function is the SU-2 "scan kit" # 4514-612.
There's a SU-3 scan unit too but that's only for internetfaxing.

SU-2 chips I have available here.
