    Bizhub 200 firmware

How do I find out what firmware a bizhub 200 is running? How do I get an update an apply it?

I am having problems scanning, I looked on the forms here and seem like the next step is a firmware update.

While in service mode, select the option titled "ROM Version." It tells you on the screen what your current firmware version is.

Enter service mode: press, in order, "STOP" "0" "0" "STOP" "0" "1" from the meter details screen

I get all firmware updates from Konica-Minolta's site. And you have to have a compact flash card writer.

    1. Write new firmware to a compact flash card
    2. Turn off machine
    3. Insert card into card slot on right side of machine (just under scanner)
    4. Turn on machine
    5. Firmware will upgrade itself
    6. When the screen says "FINISHED," turn off main power
    7. Remove card from card slot
    8. Turn on machine and check new firmware status

    That's it!

when I do that I get to a screen that looks like a password screen.

The only button on the screen is end in the top right. I tried the 12345678 but when I hit end it goes back to the computer screen.

All zeros. Like 8 of them or something.

According to Kon-Min's current firmware list, you have the most current version. Maybe the firmware isn't your problem.

OK I can print and Fax ok. I installed the software for the scanner...I do not have any scanners listed in control panel/ scanners. The software says install reg key? Sorry....I inherited a network with about 10 bizhubs and still figuring them out.

Still curious on how to update the firmware....and the compact flash slot.

The compact flash card slot is on the right-hand side of the machine just under the scanner. It is covered by a small cover that just pops off. I'll try to find a picture to send you.

The copier will not show up under the scanners tab of the control panel. If you're trying to set up TWAIN scanning, then someone else will have to assist you. I've only set these machines up as network scanners and do so via an FTP utility. If you want to know how to do that, send me a private message with your phone # and I'll explain over the phone.
